The Manitoba Veterinary Technologists Association (MVTA) believes that Veterinary Technologists (RVTs) deserve to be celebrated not just during RVT Month, but all year round. Our incredible members work tirelessly to ensure the health and well-being of animals, making a significant impact in the world of veterinary medicine. To honour their dedication, we have exciting news to share about our "Show Your Love" campaign and our Advancement Fund intake.
Recognizing RVT Month - RVT Month, celebrated each October, is a time to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work and commitment of the RVTs across our Province. It's a month when we come together to show our gratitude for their tireless efforts, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to animal care.
However, we strongly believe that our members deserve recognition and support throughout the entire year. RVTs work tirelessly every day, and their passion for animal welfare should be celebrated consistently, not just for a month.
Show Your Love
Nominate an Outstanding RVT
As part of our commitment to recognizing RVTs year-round, we are thrilled to bring back our "Show Your Love" campaign. This initiative allows our members to nominate outstanding RVTs who have gone above and beyond in their roles. To show our appreciation, we will select 10 winners, and each will receive a personalized stethoscope as a token of our gratitude.
It's an opportunity to highlight those who inspire, innovate, and make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. Whether it's their exceptional patient care, leadership, or dedication to advancing the field, we want to hear your stories of outstanding RVTs who deserve to be recognized.
Those who received a scope last year will be excluded from being nominated. Nominations run from October 1 to 20th.

Supporting RVTs Education
MVTA 2023 Advancement Fund
Starting on October 1st, our Advancement Fund will open its doors to provide support to RVTs looking to further their education. We understand that continuous learning is crucial to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine, and we want to help our members thrive in their careers.
We are proud to announce that we will be awarding a total of $5,000 in education grants to deserving RVTs. These grants will assist in covering educational expenses, enabling our members to pursue advanced training, certifications, and degrees. This will also include reimbursement for our MVTA 2023 Advanced Training Conference that is taking place this October 21-22.
