Whyte Ridge Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team. We are looking to fill a full time position, with an expectation to work evenings and occasional Saturdays. We are a locally owned 4 doctor practice that care for dogs, cats and exotics. Our goal is to promote a friendly and professional environment where an emphasis is placed on quality medical care, client education, and teamwork. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate, has excellent communication skills, is able to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and is a dedicated team player.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to assisting veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, and treatment plans, monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures, performing dental prophylaxis, collecting and processing laboratory samples, taking radiographs, providing compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients and educating clients on preventative medicine, nutrition, and home care.
Must have an Animal Health Technologist/Veterinary Technology diploma and be registered or eligible for registration with the MVTA. New grads are welcome to apply.
