Welcome to the Manitoba Veterinary Technologists Association (MVTA) Self-Assessment Checklist for Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVTs). This tool is designed to help you reflect on your current skills, identify areas for further growth, and support your ongoing professional development as an RVT. The tasks included in this assessment are drawn directly from the MVMA Delegation of Veterinary Tasks Policy to ensure alignment with current regulatory expectations.

We encourage all members to revisit this self-assessment regularly—such as before starting a new job, when preparing for a performance review, or when requesting funding for continuing education.

By using this checklist as a resource throughout your career, you can track your progress, set meaningful goals, and engage in informed discussions with your supervisors and mentors about training and educational opportunities.
