Manitoba Chicken Producers (MCP), a Winnipeg based, not-for-profit hatching egg and chicken producer organization, is urgently seeking a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) for a 6-month Term.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the RVT is responsible for on-farm broiler breeder environmental and blood sampling and assisting with on-farm programs.
The successful candidate must:
– be highly organized
– be able to work independently with minimal supervision
– have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
– be willing to travel weekly within the province
– adhere to biosecurity measures outlined by MCP
– be registered with MVTA and MVMA.
MCP offers a competitive salary, benefits, and pension. This position may be a remote position, but frequent travel to Winnipeg is required. Hours are relatively flexible, average 20 hours per week.
