Southport Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal general practice looking to add compassionate, friendly, detail-oriented RVTs to our amazing team!
Overview: Seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist that exhibits versatility, strong communication skills, quality technical skills, a positive outlook, and a love of animals! Time will be distributed between patient nursing care, surgery, appointments, and veterinarian and client support. Our RVTs are actively involved in all aspects of animal medical care and client communication. New or returning-to-the-field RVTs are welcome – we would love to help support and develop your skills! We are excited to add a person to our team who can help nurture and maintain our positive, appreciative, and caring team culture.
Ideal Candidate/Experience: Veterinary Technician/Technologist college graduate, with preference to those that have passed the VTNE and hold an RVT status. New or unregistered technologists requiring assistance preparing for the VTNE? We can help! Preference to experienced candidates.
Educational Requirements: Veterinary Technologist/Technician diploma/certificate
Hours: Hourly with some flexibility. 32-42 hours per week, with some weekends. On-call may be required though usually no more than 1 weeknight every 1-2 months and 1-2 weekends per year (also very rare to actually be called in for an emergency).
