Supporting RVTs Education
MVTA Advancement Fund
Established in 2019, the MVTA RVT Advancement Fund supports Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVTs) in good standing who wish to advance their professional education and skills. This fund assists RVTs pursuing a specialist designation, undergraduate or graduate degree, attending a conference, transitioning into a new area of animal health, or engaging in initiatives that strengthen the animal health care team.
Since its inception, the MVTA has awarded more than $20,000 through the Advancement Fund, helping RVTs across Manitoba grow and excel in their careers.

We believe continuous learning is essential to remaining at the forefront of veterinary medicine, and we’re committed to helping our members thrive in every stage of their careers.
This year, a total of $4,000 has been budgeted to support successful applicants. Please note that previous recipients are not eligible in this cycle, ensuring more members have the opportunity to benefit from this annual bursary.
The bursary supports a wide range of educational expenses, including advanced training, certifications, and degree programs. Applicants may also request reimbursement for registration to the MVTA 2026 Advanced Training Conference, taking place October 3–4, 2026.
During the application period, the form will be available directly on this page. If you have questions before applying, please contact us at [email protected].
We encourage all applicants to answer the application questions as accurately and thoroughly as possible to support fair evaluation.
